Mission: The mission of RSM's Women in Management Club (WIMC) is to build lasting connections and networks amongst female students, alumni and business leaders in order to cultivate the professional, academic, and social interests of women in business. Furthermore, the goal of the WIMC is to raise the awareness amongst the student body of specific issues facing women in management in today's world. Goals and Objectives for 2005: RSM Women in Management Club maintains a core set of objectives for the 2005 school year. - Create opportunities for women to develop a network of business mentors and contacts in industries across sectors Increase the visibility of RSM as a school which promotes the needs of women and to thereby increase the percentage of women in the student body of RSM. - Influence and educate our fellow students and alumni in order to further promote and support women in management. - Establish a functional mentoring program between female RSM alumni and current MBA students. - Provide a structured speaker series designed specifically to connect our student body, in its entirety (both males and female) with present and future women leaders. - Support the diverse professional and personal aspirations of each woman within our community. - To provide guidance to prospective female students on RSM student life. - To generate awareness and increase sensitivity towards the specific issues facing women in management. Membership Information: All RSM women are eligible for membership. All RSM students and partners - male and female - are invited to Women in Management Club events. |
